Meet the Team
In addition to the current artists selected to participate in the Sites of Passage project with South Africa, these artists hope to join, too, but only with your support!

She is also the Founder of Brown + Healthy, a non-profit global health and wellness initiative for people of color.
She has dedicated over a decade of her life's work to authoring books, writing plays, drafting arts education curricula, and providing platforms for artists to explore and discover the true nature of their art!
Michelle is an activist for social justice and a polymathic creator also known for her work as a published photographer, producer, musician, live event host, and actor.
The third and final artist is still under review.
Candidates will be entertained on a rolling basis with intent to announce a winner on or near Thanksgiving weekend.
Coming out of retirement as a visual and spoken word artist in order to spark this fund raising charge, C. Alexander prefers to be formally known as...as a founding member of Firefly Tunnels in 2010, he looks forward to providing administrative and program support to the this, third, most mature version of the project now known as Sites of Passage.
Notable shows include -- Mapping the Cosmos: Images from the Hubble Space Craft (assistant curator, Walters Art Museum, Baltimore), Windows video exhibition by Aras Ozgun (artist, Rooftop Gallery, Cairo), Caricatures of the Revolution (documentarian, L'Atellier Tharir, Cairo), and Coppin State University's 4th Annual ArtCetera Fundraiser for Young Health Professionals (featured photographer, Baltimore).
Residencies include: performer / assistant curator at Arts Residency Egypt (Giza), photojournalist / research assistant at the Fayoum International Arts Center (Fayoum), assistant muralist / associate fund raiser for The Baltimore LOVE Project, and (now) the annual summer Brooklyn Poets workshop retreat.
